Iran Ministry of Agriculture honored with Aziz-Ul Haq Rural Development Medal
Tehran – The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture was bestowed with the prestigious Aziz-Ul Haq Rural Development Medal on Monday.
The award, presented by the Center for Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP), recognizes the Ministry’s significant contributions to rural development, poverty reduction, and empowering rural communities.
During a meeting with Chandra Shekhara, the Director-General of CIRDAP, Minister of Agriculture Gholamreza Nouri highlighted the government’s commitment to a “village-centric” policy and emphasized the importance of supporting farmers and agricultural workers.
Shekhara expressed his admiration for Iran’s alignment with CIRDAP’s global goals and presented the Aziz-Ul Haq Medal to Minister Nouri.
The award is named after the distinguished Bangladeshi thinker and philosopher who founded CIRDAP and played a pivotal role in developing rural communities in Comilla.
The Aziz-Ul Haq Rural Development Medal is awarded to individuals, institutions, and organizations that have made substantial contributions to rural development. It serves as a testament to the recipients’ dedication to improving the lives of rural populations.
